“Melancholy” by Sarah Slam. Watercolor art, 2011
It seemed kind of fitting to post this art today. Yesterday, a great person was taken from this world. He was amazing, witty, intelligent, funny, and very very loved by everyone who met him. He was much too awesome for this world, but it was still much too soon. Too soon.
I painted this about a year ago during a time I felt very lost, frustrated, lonely, and confused about my life. I moved to a big city in hopes of accomplishing my dreams, but I had yet to find a purpose for myself. This painting represents the storm of emotions that stirred within my mind at that time.
I’m selling prints of this art and other works on my online shop, Sarah Slam’s Shop
